Meet Our Southern Louisiana Eye Doctors
Dr. Ann Shaw
Dr. Ann Shaw earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in International Business from the University of Georgia while also completing pre-medical coursework. She received her Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn.
Dr. Shaw completed her internships at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington, D.C., and in Plano, Texas, with Dr. Charles Shidlofsky, who specializes in vision care for autistic children and severely brain-damaged patients. After beginning practice, she attended Louisiana State University and earned a Master’s degree in Nutrition. She believes this degree is beneficial for her patients because nutritional research is increasingly demonstrating a strong relationship between nutrition and eye health, especially in macular degeneration.
Dr. Shaw is a member of the American Optometric Association, the National Optometric Nutrition Society, and the Optometry Association of Louisiana.
Dr. Adam Pickle
Dr. Adam Pickle earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA, and his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
